For easy implementation and quick quality results, the ASTOC toolset has the following features:

• ASTOC processes mainframe assembly language, including IBM 360/370/390, Siemens BS-2000 and compatibles, including their respective macro languages. Additional assembly languages can be added by way of plug-in parsers.

• ASTOC runs on the fastest Open Systems machines for optimal conversion performance. ASTOC is available for Sun Solaris, HP-UX, IBM AIX, Linux and others.

• ASTOC generates ANSI C source and header files. Configuration settings allow for specific C-compiler support (MVS only).

• ASTOC supports several macro conversion solutions including code replacement and straightforward expansion.

• Generated code maintains call and data interface integrity towards program modules written in different programming languages (COBOL, PL-I e.a.)

• ASTOC seamlessly integrates into re•Source for application-wide analysis, code mining and maintenance assistance.
